Australian Navy fails to deliver ships to Cyclone Debbie

Dear Auntie ABC News,

We pay for an offence force and call it a defence force, yet our navy is unable to supply operational ships to a potentially catastrophic weather event in our own country. We pay billions for an offence force that cannot meet our own national needs, while arts funding gets cut yet again, and over and over again.

As the esteemed Auntie of the fourth estate, charged with the duty of holding the state to account on behalf of the people, what are you doing to challenge this, our complicity in the government’s crimes against humanity (war involvement) and their criminal negligence (Cyclone Debbie)?
